Pharmacovigilance and Technovigilance
At PROBIOMED we are committed to the health and well-being of patients who use our products. For this reason, we have pharmacovigilance and technovigilance programs that allow us to monitor the behavior and safety of our medicines, vaccines and medical devices and comply with current regulations.
Pharmacovigilance
Medicines have an expected effect on our body to help us improve or maintain our health, however, sometimes we can get to present some unwanted clinical manifestation after using one or more of them, which we can identify as a suspected adverse reaction.
Pharmacovigilance is defined as the activities related to the detection, evaluation, understanding and prevention of adverse events, suspected adverse reactions, events allegedly attributable to vaccination or immunization, or any other safety problem related to the use of medications (Official Mexican Standard NOM-220-SSA1-2016).
Technovigilance
PROBIOMED also has medical devices that are used by health professionals for the diagnosis and treatment of various alterations in patients.
Our Technovigilance Unit is responsible for identifying and evaluating the adverse incidents produced by medical devices and the risk factors associated with them, based on the notification, registration and systematic evaluation (Official Mexican Standard NOM-240-SSA1-2012).
Reports of events or incidents related to our medications, vaccines or medical devices.
Our commitment is to provide patients with high-tech solutions that improve their health and quality of life. To help us monitor the efficacy and safety of our products, it is very important that, as a patient or health professional, you inform us if you identify any problem related to our medications, vaccines or medical devices such as:
- Misuse, medication error, overdose or lack of efficacy
- Doubts about use during pregnancy and lactation
- Suspected adverse reactions / adverse events
- Adverse incidents
- Events allegedly attributable to vaccination and immunization
- Sale of apocryphal or altered medicines
